I have no problems with a DLink DFE 538TX under RH9.0. (was almost automagically configured and ready in the course of the OS installation).

We were using DLink DFE-670TXD (I hope you are referring to a PCMCI Lan Card, else I got the number wrong). It auto detected in Suse 9 and was configured. Had no problem.
