Hello All,
A $dose user was looking for video editing software and a search for open source video editors threw up this software called 'Jahshaka'. It is ported on many platforms, including Linux. It appears to be a pro-level tool so I would appreciate more feedback from those who have already tried it out or those who wish to try it out.

Am not sure about the one you are talking about , but cinelerra is actually from a pro studio which wanted opensource solution for video editing and finally they went ahead and built their own.
its a powerful one with plenty of optimizations in assembly.

Hmmm. The feedback I've received about Cinelerra is...
``It was a pain to use. I could never figure out how!''
I've never tried it myself.
As for sound editing; the same person thinks audacity is brilliant and I agree.
