# the numerical userid of the postfix account MYSQL_UID_FIELD '5000'
#the numerical groupid of the postfix account MYSQL_GID_FIELD '5000'
# the username as defined in the table mailbox MYSQL_LOGIN_FIELD username
# the location of the mailboxes on the server # Please change this is you are going to use a different location. MYSQL_HOME_FIELD '/home/vmail'

Eh? Why are you trying to telnet to ports 110 and 143? You are getting the message "Escape character is blah..." That is sufficient to say that the servives on these two ports are up and running.
What is your goal here?
Regards, NMK.
its ok i make it work ... thanks

i had done much RnD ... but i am assuming that the probles was SElinux , which was not enabled at the time of installtion .. i enabled it ..... i guess thats wat did the trik..
I have never heard of a problem being solved by *enabling* SELinux. In my experience, and a lot of others that I have read about, the problem is usually solved by disabling it. I guess there is a first time for everything. :-)
