hello, can someone kindly help me with connecting to the "tata indicom" broadband connection using ubuntu 6.06? i know how to connect to the Internet using dialup (with modem), and also direct connection (even through proxy). but am stumped about the "tata indicom" connection; especially coz i dont have a modem, and still have to give a login username/password to connect. so i can't use dialup, nor direct connection. thanks for the help in advance :)

Is it their connection through LAN cable or their TATA Indicom walky phone? If its through the LAN cable then I guess they have a web based login which is OS neutral. If you have their walky phone then I guess you can connect using the standard PPP dialer. You have to just add a couple of initialization commands which I can't remember off hand.
