Afternoon Rishi,
Yep, that would be a great idea. But getting our machines into/out of iit will be a nightmare. The logistics surely will be a nightmare. Unless there is someone who is willing to work this out for us.
We need to have a look at someting location and some backing to make an event like this happen....and FAST.

I am definitely interested, but I don't have access to the Flashmob CD. My attempts to download it have failed so far so I'd like to have the CD to play around with. Is there anyway I can get my hands on one so I can make a copy.
I think as a first step let's do an inventory of the things that we will need for a fixed target audience size, say a 10 node flashmob. Then we can think of scaling it up if it works.

Thats precisely what even we had decided on. I have the cd for flashmob with me. You can build a cluster of machines with the same for a GFLOP count.
Am at midc..call me and drop in with a blank anytime. I am tired of requesting pple to come forward and participate. Numbers are inevitably low. If pple are interested let them come ahead and request for the same. The idea as of now is quite mature out here.
Bye and have a great day rajesh.
