what exactly has this to to with linux/foss?
So you mean that no Linux / FOSS company in India is capable of getting nominated for this ? Or do you object to Linux / FOSS community being informed of such an opportunity to get showcased and perhaps get funded.

Going slightly OT, there was a mention of ILUG-BOM's inherent tendency to hop into raging flame wars at Philip Tellis' keynote at FOSS.IN 2009 :)
