Hi All,

If I start "uxterm -e emacs -nw", emacs does not respond to Meta-x key press as M-x but as M-8-. This happens only with uxterm. Works fine with xterm, gnome-terminal and console. Locale is set to en_US. I am using Debian unstable. /etc/inputrc is in right format with input-meta etc properly configured. Can anyone shed more light on this?
