Hi, Try using "daild" for auto-dialing instead of wvdial. I have a similar setup as you mentioned; but with a PSTN modem. I have the following setup:

RedHat Linux 7.1

diald v1.1 - Auto-connection to the VSNL account via PSTN.

ipchains - Firewall (configured with Webmin interface)

squid v2.3 - Proxy with authentication enabled

I have install RedHat 7.1 and wvdial 1.53 or so... I want to have a auto dial for my pc which is having a internal network also...and want to share the internet... I am using zyxel ISDN TA to dial out...

I am using easychains IPchains script for firewall...

When I try to connect thru wvdial mostly I get NO Carrier I want to setup my gateway machine to auto dial using wvdial and start the firewall and give access to the internal PCs....please help
