I dont care about the gyan i will get for my 200 bucks. What i do care about is not to pay 200 bucks to attend my glug-bom meet. It just dosnt seem right to me. I dont mind paying the money to attend the conf though.

But acccording to a recent mail,students are sponsored by some companies and they don't have to pay the 200/- bucks....does that include engg students?

I don't know if any bus directly goes to TIFR. Otherwise there are two main bus depots, Colaba Depot on Nanabhai Moos Marg ( Colaba Causeway) and Backbay Bus Depot. From there you can continue by Taxi or walk it up if you can. To check out the bus routes visit the link below.
