If you're running Ubuntu::
$ sudo aptitude install ttf-indic-fonts
should do it.
You can search for more fonts using::
$ aptitude search ttf
Also, you need to provide more information about the distribution of Linux you're using and any other related information when stating your problem.

Malayalam fonts http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/smc/fonts/
# apt-get install ttf-malayalam-fonts on debian

Most mainstream distributions come with a set of fonts for ml_IN and hi_N and then there is the GNU FreeFont collection.
Is there a specific reason you are looking for these two fonts outside of the mainstream distributions ?
