I'm hearing about Tata Indicom's new Wi-Fi
service. They provide a
PCMCIA Wi-Fi CDMA card that allows you to make calls and be connected
to the Internet 24x7 from anywhere.
They say it supports Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP. Anyone tried it
on Linux yet? Any inputs / feedback on the same, please let us know.
AFAIR the card is Sierra Aircard 555 costing Rs 14K approx. The sierra
website mentioned experimental support for Linux, the last time I
visited. You might want to check that out. Reliance offers the same
card at a similar cost. The call centre of both couldn't provide
details regarding Linux support.
