Very heartening to read that. Linux has really come a long way.
On a somewhat related note, I was reading this Sunday's edition of the Times of India and came across a full-page HP advertisement which stated that HP, in association with BMW McLaren develop and test their F1 engines using "Linux based supercomputers".

Also this is a good news since Indian Army is generally on Shoe String budgets. So low cost systems are best suited for it.

Wrong! The Army has gone for it for Simputers simplicity and Linux reliability and budget has nothing to do about it! More than shoe strings, it is more bothered about the red-tapes :-) and great to know Linux has crossed the barrier atleast to some extent. - Subash
