Anyway, my friend is studying B.Sc. Physics. He just gave his final year theory exams last week and has his practicals next week. The interesting thing is, that this year, for the first time, from what he says, Linux has been included in the syllabus.

Quite Interesting. Infact, I was a bit surprised, I thought physics had more of electronics rather than Software! And wow!, more Physics graduates might now probably understand why they should be using GNU/LINUX

He had to study 8085 Microprocessor, Operating Systems and hardware basics etc. There was also a topic specifically devoted to Linux versus Windows. This question appeared in the exam paper.

Umm..Generally, I am against a comparison, but I would only encourage using GNU/Linux for different purposes.

For the last couple of days, he has been practising basic CLI on my box. 8085, MS Office and Linux command line weighs 30 marks in total, in the practicals, apparently.

Is he using Wipro KWin on Windows for practising Linux commands?..

I think that's good news? What do the luggers think?

This is good. BSc (Comp. Sci.) has something about GNU/Linux, as I had posted in the original thread, but they don't seem to be savvy for GNU/Linux in my COLLEGE.

Aah..probably MS-CIT also teaches how to use MS Office, as it is more common in many offices, rather than Open Office Org
