Want to buy a "budget" laptop. The CPU choices are AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+ (1.8GHz, 128K L2 cache) and Intel Mobile Celeron (1.6GHz, 1MB L2 cache).
Given resp. units have 512MB system RAM (w/ 128M for video) and comparable HDD, which CPU is likely to give better performance?
TIA.

I would go for the celeron-m. Mobile Sempron runs too hot.
