I am thinking of buying a graphics tablet- like the WACOM Graphire 3.
I searched and it seems the wacom graphics tablet is supported at the kernel level in gnu/linux.
Since I am not an expert, more of a simple user who likes to work in gnu/linux in spite of the odds that now and then come up, I would like to know if anyone here has ever installed or used such a device in linux.
If so, I would like to discuss this further...
Graphics tablet- basically an input device..where you have a touchpad and a pen/stylus and the motions are replicated on the screen...
Configuring such hardware is difficult I guess and if someone has done it, it would help me make the decision.

I've never worked with a graphics tablet before, but if you live close enough to me, I'd like to try. Seems interesting.

Most graphics tablets have a mouse compatible operation so they should be detected and configured as standard mice.
additional features like pressure sensing would need a driver/module. Try to lookup on the grapphire site and confirm if they support GNU/Linux and provide the modules for the same.
BTW: how much does it cost? I have seen some other small tablet worth 1800..
