I'm going thru serious crises as I stand at crossroads in terms of career. Can someone please suggest me if its mandatory to have a RHCE certification?
Are planning on a job in GNU/Linux system administration itself or something more?
I'm NOT a graduate yet
i'm probably the LAST person who will say this, but i will. If you can finish your graduation PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do so. i mean it. i know Mumbai University is a farce in the name of education, i know majority of the teachers are hopeless mediocres even in so called ``good colleges". i know that it is knowledge that is FAR more important than a ton of stupid degrees who's paper quality has reached such limits that it can't even be used as as BEST bus ticket or even substandard toilet paper.
BUT, a graduation does help makes things a little easier in terms of getting an initial job and does carry forward in professional life. Knowledge AND a graduates degree is the key.
and what are my chances of getting a decent job armed with RHCE
certification.
It depends on how you have polished your resume with what you have done and can do. Remember 99% of the time the people reading resumes are not brainless idiots. 1% of the time you may just get lucky.
Is graduation a pre-requisite for jobs as SA?
It depends on the kind of job at hand. Under normal circumstances probably not, but a degree DOES help.
If you can finish your graduation. PLEASE do.

Actually, quite often the initial shortlisting is done by the HR and they simply look for keywords. In such cases there are plenty chances that your resume will get an initial lookin. What happens after that depends upon the quality of your resume.
