About the candidate: [SYSTEM] You must be familiar with Linux, having at least one year of professional experience, or two years of personal use. You know how to build a secure machine and run it. You are familiar with the command line, and the configuration files. You know how to RTFM, and can handle large volumes of email. *Knowledge of Perl and shell scripting essential. Knowledge of other programming languages will be an additional bonus.

About the candiate: [NETWORK] You are familiar with Cisco routers and switches and their configuration. You know how to setup BGP in a cinch. You can configure appropriate firewall rulesets on Checkpoint, Cisco and Linux. For you, being called a bofh is the ultimate compliment. CCNA qualifications are not necessary, but they will be a bonus.
