=== request ============= From: Seema Arora Subject: Your help with open source developer survey
Dear Prof. Sarda: We are researchers at Stanford University who have designed a survey that aims to understand the open source way of producing software.
This
work is being undertaken by the Stanford Institute for Economic
Policy
Research and is being funded by the National Science Foundation. I am writing to seek your help in announcing the survey amongst IIT Bombay students and faculty who might be participants in the development of open source software. I have written individually to linux
coordinators
in India but it would be extremely useful to get the representation
from
IITs. So far, representation from India has been very low. We are
hoping
that with increased visibility of the survey announcement, we would
be
able to attract more respondents from India and hence study specifics relating to India.
Please help us generate interest and responses at the site below. I would really appreciate if you could direct this email to the appropriate groups within IIT Bombay and other appropriate contacts
who
might be contributors to the open source movement.
The survey is meant for open source developers and can be found at http://siepr.stanford.edu/programs/OpenSoftware_David/FLOSS-US_announcement....
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards Seema
