Hi all,
Anyone in the group has an idea of porting an app to a set-top box running OS-20 on STM chipset. Or if anyone has ported/developed an app for any set-top box would also suffice.
1)Basically I would like to have a general idea of the development environment used.the SDK's used? 2)How is an app loaded on the set-top box? 3) Are the SDK's available for linux/windows? 4) Is localization possible for such embedded apps?
I tried googling for info on OS-20 and STM chipset but could not get hands on much info.
With warm regards, Pankaj

When dealing with applications, what matters the most is the toolchain you are using. The library files are also important.

For the GNU toolchain, it will be glibc or uclibc C headers.

You can transfer through serial port (very slow) or usually through ethernet to SDRAM on the set-top box/development board.
Final release can be flashed to NOR/NAND flash.
- Are the SDK's available for linux/windows?
Depends on what library files you are using.
- Is localization possible for such embedded apps?
It can be done.
Regards,
SK
