Thank you all who responded to the Salary Survey question. I could not reply earlier because I stopped getting mail for some reason. However, I read the archives. Seems like there was quite a range - 7.5K to 20K pm! Anyway, if anyone has any more inputs I will welcome them.
What is this about the new forum? Is this going to replace the list?
I would suggest that if you have a proper web site for this group, it would be nice to allow job postings and partnership opportunities. As someone else on this list said, there has to be a commercial component to any group. If the "Homebrew Computer Club" had no commercial component we would not have had Apple. It happened because Jobs the marketer, met Wozniak the inventor.
Also, is there a Linux group in Pune?
Thanx, Anil Gupte

Hi, I have put up a poll in the lug site. The link is as follows: http://forum.ilug-bom.org.in But before logging in ,the poll shows 13 votes for the poll and after logging it shows 21 votes for the poll. Can the admin of the Forum look into this behaviour as to why it shows different numbers?
TIA,
