Dear List My friend has a very low end computer with 128 MB RAM with Fedora 3 running on it. Can he use a USB stick as RAM. I know that wont help much. But people at different forums have suggested to use USB flash drive as a SWAP partition to improve performance. Will that help to some extent? Is there anything called USB RAM?

Writing to flash is slooooo. So whenever you need to flush RAM things will slow to a crawl. Besides the cost of a 256 or 512MB RAM is lower than a usb stick. If it's an old low end comp it will have USB1.0 which is even slower.

No afaik
