While installing qmail (qmailv1.03) I encountered the following error. the qmail-send daemon was having problems with the /proc/profile file infact when using the readprofile command, I found that there was no file called profile on the /proc file system.

can somebody enlighten me why "/proc/profile" is needed and what does it contain? Also why does qmail need it? can this error be circumvented by some means?
