Dear Friends, I�ve installed RH Linux 7.2 on a machine. That machine is having the Local Area Network IP is = 192.168.0.1 Now from the machine having IP 192.168.0.2, I wants to Telnet the Linux machine, but it shows me an error �The remote host refused connection.� The same case is there in FTP. So n e body suggest me step by step configuration for accessing Telnet / FTP to Linux machine from my Windows PC over LAN.�? Regards, [Ashish Desai]

Hi, Check if you have Telnet Server installed, cause if you have installed a Workstation on your machine, the Server does not get installed. Install that first and then go to the /etc/xinetd.d/telnet file and change the value od disable field to no. Then it should work.
