Once again the ugly beast raises its head. It has slept peacefully for nearly a year, but now it is hungry and setting forth to gobble up the unsuspecting, the hard-working, the masochistic and the fun-loving.

Yes, it's that time of the year again! freed.in (formerly Freedel) needs volunteers -- are YOU ready to be chained to the rock and await the coming of the scaly fire-breathing monster? If you are willing to sell your soul (and your body for a few days) in September 2007, all for a lousy T-shirt and some even more lousy free conference food, then don't think twice -- send your details immediately to:

Between the 10th and the 29th of September you will be expected to work like a dog, get no sleep, stand in the burning sun (or pouring rain, depending on the weather), smile at participants who abuse you, smile even wider at organisers who abuse you, be treated like dirt and not even get to attend the talks. And what do you get out of it? Just:

- Being part of the FLOSS community in India - Hobnobbing with all the star speakers on a one-to-one basis - The aforementioned T-shirt and food - After-conference party - [Perhaps!] After-conference trip to the Himalayas - Your name [and photo?] up on the conference web site - The undying gratitude (lasts approximately 35 seconds after the conference is over) of the community, ILUGD, the organisers, the speakers and the participants.
