Can anyone guide regarding references for Linux drivers to support USB connection for mouse usage on Philips BSURE SV1 LCD Projector under Linux. Windows senses the system at time of booting when the system is connected to the projector using USB cable.

In RH7.3 (which I no longer use) the redhat CD's used to be autodetected in the GUI mode and an software installer used to start. Also in KDE the file manager opens automaticatically for CDs.

yes but that is because of automount i want to run scripts automatically i dont want to see the directory contents in a file manager window but to run a script inside that directory. i know it might require root login to run any such script because of security issues but assuming root login can this be done, if so how?
