Anybody installed GNU/Linux computers with M2/Cyrix/AMD cpu. Have you encountered any problems. A friend of mine has a M2 system
I have installed GNU/Linux RHL 7.1 system on my AMD Athlon beast. I haven't used it much since, but there were absolutely no problems during installation and during regular use also. I guess since Cyrix and AMD (don't know about M2) are x86 compatible processors, there *should not* be any problems.
Regards, Shailesh.
Hi, I have installed Redhat 6.2 on Cyrix M2 333 MHz, 64MB ram. I haven't encountered any problems for last 1 year. Linux is more stable on Cyrix than Windoze 98.
