Applications are invited for filling up the system administrator [temporary] position for the Spoken Tutorial Project http://spoken-tutorial.org/, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai - 400076. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:
*Position:* Systems Administrator (Temporary)*
*Location:* Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai-400076
*Job Description:*
This position is under the Technical cadre. It involves maintenance of server ,network and lab hardware and systems for the project. Linux Systems Administration with strong skills in performance tuning and excellent analytical and trouble-shooting abilities.
*Essential Qualification:*
B.E/B.Tech/ or M.Sc/MCA/M.Tech/equivalent or PG Diploma in IT/CS from reputed institutes with minimum of 2 years relevant experience . BCA/BSc.IT or equivalent with minimum of 3 years relevant experience may also be considered.
*Proven track record of 2to3 years of system administration experience in one or more of the following:*
Design and implementation of Industrial network and system infrastructure. Setup and configuration of network equipment, switches, firewalls, antivirus, IPS etc. Install and Configure servers. Experience on Linux and Windows are a must. Able to implement Virtualization, security policies, clusters etc. Knowledge of basic networking is desired, certifications like MCSE, CCNA and/or Red Hat Certification would be an added advantage. Should possess excellent analytical and logical skills. Candidates having valid GATE score will be preferred.
*Salary Range:* (Rs.40000-56000 per month) (+OCA if applicable)
