Wat abt the rest of the world...??? Aint no students interested...????
Hi Trevor,
Below is my recent mail to Dr. Nagarjuna along with his reply. Didn't post this to the LUG. The mail was directed only to Dr. Nag, 'cause I stay in BARC, and could hop into HBCSE easily. However, I thought I should keep you informed.
Warm Regards, Nikhil.

I teach at a computer institute called "Amrita Institute of Computer Technology (AICT)" which is located at Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The institute conducts MSc. & BSc. degree courses in "Software & Information Systems". These courses come under Bhartihar University.
The 2'nd year MSc. students have a 6-month full-time project as part of their course curriculum for the final semester (Jan 2003
June 2003).
I have been following the discussions with regard to the PRC, on the LUG list. I am hoping to involve interested students from the institute with the PRC projects. However, I could not gather much about the kind of projects that the PRC would offer, what might be it's duration, etc. The students are keen to know.
It would really help if a face-to-face discussion could be arranged between the students and a mentor. Not only would such a session fulfill the purpose of answering their queries, it would also give the mentor a chance to evaluate the students and direct them to an appropriate project.
I would be very greatful, if you could take some time off your schedule for such a session. I think a discussion of 30 to 60 minutes should suffice. The students are ready to come to HBCSE. You could give me some convinient time-slots wherein such a discussion can be held, and I will make arrangements accordingly.
Many thanks, Nikhil.
I am now in Trivandrum, will reach Mumbai on 9th. Contact me on 9th afternoon, we will fix up soem time.
Thanks
Nagarjuna
