Thats great news! Now I dont mean to hijack this thread but can someone tell me if Airtel offers EDGE on their network? What kind of speeds should I expect if at all they offer it? ( I know its dependent on the signal strength. ) Also how do I get it to work with Linux / specifically Ubuntu?

I understand both TATA and Airtel were also doing something similar under the pretext of "fair use". Have they mended their ways?

File a complaint with TRAI if you feel they are unfair. In case of Reliance, someone did......probably goaded by the rival providers, but TRAI generally acts on user complaints (not, i did not say customer, so you can complain to TRAI even if you are not an airtel costumer)

BTW, I think this topic is not basically OT
