OS: Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, Gnome desktop.
Over the phone, I walked a client, through the printer installation of Epson LX1050+ printer. During installation, I asked him to chose the recommended driver for the LX1050 that comes bundled with CUPS and to print a test page. The test page printed fine.
Now he is complaining that it is printing very small fonts irrespective of the application i.e. Firefox, OO Writer.
This is the first time I have installed a dot matrix printer (and that too by proxy). Logically, things should print per font settings in the application if the test page prints.
I would appreciate any pointers to what printer settings I should be looking for to fix the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Just check if his system fonts are small to read. Whenever I install GNU/Linux, for better reading, I have to increase default font size in order to compensate for higher screen resolutions. It could be affecting your printing too.
