this is kaushik,I 'm new to linux,I wanna install some microsoft programs over linux,I have downloaded the WINE on my thumb drive, how should I install it ? please help me out ! Thanks & Regards

Generally there is not much configuration, just run any .exe with wine from the command line and it should auto configure when running wine first...

What exactly are you trying to achieve from Wine? Which programs are you trying to run? Wine supports only a limited number of applications.

Check: http://www.playonlinux.com/en/ for easier wine installation. It should work on your PC.
