Be there.

Hi all, I have both windows XP and RH 7.2 on my laptop. Linux boots fine when I am connected to the internet (via Ethernet at my college). But when I had gone to somebody's house, where the internet was not available, linux would simply not boot. During the setup it stalled at the foll message "Bringing up interface eth0" I will be going back to my college soon so I can make boot into linux and make changes. I would be highly obliged if someone would tell me how to fix this problem.
Orca.

edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
look for something that says ONBOOT="yes" change it to "no"
