Hi all,
I am running Debian sarge/sid on a 2.4.21 kernel with xfree86 4.2.1 (from sarge repositories). I recently installed xine from the sid repositories that i had added to upgrade my kde. But whenever I run xine, my x windows system crashes with exit status 11.Is this a known bug or is there some misconfiguration on my part? The x server runs fine all the time otherwise.

xine is known to have problems with some X-server modules at times. Some say that its the other way around and that the problems are with the server modules. A recent version of either should solve the problem. I had a similar issue, got hold of a newer X-server module ( i.e. display driver) , and now it works.
