Recently switched to WindowMaker ... wonderful environment to work in!

What I want to know is how to create keyboard short cuts for common apps, so that there is no need to go through the whole process of F12->apps and so on ...

What is the syntax for putting these in $HOME/.xinitrc? And what about defining them under $HOME/GNUstep??
