Nice article? The article is a mile off the mark! What makes Linux so popular is the community around it and the writer has totally ignored that aspect. Just because something is free does not mean it will become popular. Speaking as both, a former journalist and an open source evangelist, I think the title of the article is presumptuous and the whole article is half baked. Hopefully other journalists who are covering the subject of Linux versus Solaris will do more justice to the subject.

Hi folks, I guess everybody must be aware of the mumbai Marathon, going to be held on 16th Jan 2005. Hey guys, why cant there be a group Linux runners, all clad in Linux themes. Good publicity for both Linux and our Bombay group. As venky rightly said "What makes Linux so popular is the community around it"............and its us !!! regards Vaghul.R

hi guys,
Running on a hard surface is injurious to ur knees.Recently i have faced the wrath of it.I jogged for about 200m and landed up with Grade II tear in my left knee and i am on bed rest at home for the past 1 month.May be i may even need to go for sugery. Even if anyone decides to go for it,please take care .Don't be so passionate to risk ur health for it.
