Do you get the error when you disable the floppy in the BIOS?
I my case, I did not disable the floppy but let the messages keep coming. After 4 or 5, the boot process continues further.
But when it gives error and stops the boot process (like in the OP's setup) it would best to disable devices, in the BIOS, that are not present.
This is my approach when I put together any system. I disable any device that is not present or not required (e.g parallel/serial port).
