Hi all, I have installed Linux 7.2 on my P.C. Earlier on whenever i used to install some package using RPM it used to throw some errors like rpm_db error .. something ..
hmmm... use root instead of a privileged account. If you are using root, the BDB tables where rpm stores package information is not being updated. Use rpm with initdb or rebuilddb switches :).
Again, try making rpm puke out a more verbose output so that you can see what is going wrong. The switch for this is -v. You can try -vv too :).
Now whenever I try to install or uninstall any package it just says "Segmentation fault" ..
I find this is normal if you are not using Linux with comaptible hardare. Otherwise get your hardware especially memory SIMMS checked.
Regards,
