Ilugbom wiki has been installed on server and is accessible via: http://www.ilug-bom.org.in/wiki
I've just made couple of template topics which can be changed later. List members may use this as a good medium to share information about availability of GNULinux CDs.
PS: There's also a mozilla theme available, selectable from user preferences page. We may make it default if members desire so.

Actually Moinmoin is also installed but i'm avoiding Python apps on this smp server. And i dont know Perl so even Twiki got ruled out.
Btw, why Moinmoin and why not Mediawiki?

more secure - finetuning with acl is there, which means you can have immutable pages also - good support for displaying code (this *is* a site primarily for programmers)

Hi Anurag,
Its great to have wiki setup . How do we expect to invite increased participation ? after all wikis are great only for active use .
Regards Harsh

Hello Harsh, On sunday we're meeting anyway, we'll decide how to go about populating content in the wiki. Anand MR was willing to write. Hope he also comes there.

Sometime Today, MK cobbled together some glyphs to say:
I want to come, but I've never been to Bandra before... How do I come from the railway station?
take a bus in the direction of hill road. 214 stops very close to barista on john baptist road, ask for Mt. Carmel's Church or John Baptist Road. 212 stops at MET, which is just about 20 metres further than the 214 bus stop. There used to be 219, 220 and 221 too, I think the first two stopped a long time ago, and the third had its route changed, but you can verify at the bus depot which is outside the station.
Oh yeah, get out on the West of Bandra station.

Hi I am quite new to linux. Specifically I have used Ubuntu for 2 months. I have some basic shell scripting knowledge & am eager for more. I have recently moved towards learning to use system calls. What I would like to know is this : would I be out of my depth in the midst of pros like the rest of you there on Sunday?
Thanks Mohan S N

Everyone was new to Linux at some point of time.

Eagerness to learn more is important. Good manuals, manpages and howtos should help you to learn on your own.

You shouldn't be. All of them (assuming most of them use Linux at work/home regularly) were newbies sometime. If you know less than other that means it is a good opportunity to learn from the "pro"s (though I am pretty sure would not agree with that description ;-).

If you can drink coffee, then you're not out of your depth. A Bof, and the lug itself, is about a bunch of people with a common interest getting together to meet, and to see what each other look like. That's about it.
Get This: SCO wants to review the "2.7" Source code .. No Typo there, they have actually filed this in court:
and all this when 2.6.14 is the latest :-)
Snippet:
"All documents concerning IBM's contributions to the Linux 2.7 kernel," including "development work."

Wouldn't 2.7 be the next development version? I'm not sure if the work has started on it though.

There isn't one @ www.kernel.org and that's what makes it humorous IMO ;) Shows McBride and his crew are clueless about the Linux kernel development.
