Hi,
Anyone staying close to powai area? I just wanted to make friends with some guys (gals) who use Linux. That gets to a pretty important point. Are there any girls around using linux.
Bye.

Check with IIT. There are many users there. And please, do not attach your VCard to mails sent to mailing lists - not just this one, but all of them. A short three/four line signature is more than sufficient.

Hi,
Anyone living near IIT then? You may not beleive but I have not seen a linux user other than myself. So I am keen on making friends who manage to use linux rather than windows using them. When is the next meeting. I am a new member to this list so I also wanted to know how often are the meetings held. I hope that this signature is better suited to your needs.
Bye.

There are guys living in IIT. Our last meeting (last Sunday) was also at IIT. There were announcements on the list regarding it. Don't know if you read that or not.
I hope that this signature is better suited to your needs.
Ya, much better.

Lots of IITians around there. Just wear a linux t-shirt for your evening walk and hopefully you'll make a few friends.

Gender is not a property of User. Just identify by the UID. :)

Yeah, you can easily find Linux users by the dozen here ...
Hi,
Everyone seem to be answering to me about this question about the girls. I just wanted to know if Linux is missing 50% of the population. And if so why? Is it that Linux is still too technical if yes then what can be the changes that reqire to be done. Well just curious about this.
Bye.

Probably wrong analysis.
Forget Linux. It's the same with Windows. With Computers. With bus conductors and drivers. Train drivers. Heavy labour works. Engineering.
There's a long list. And this is off-topic.
well uhh 50 or 33.33 :D .... any ways ... really OT
