Now what can we(users) can do if they are not ready to give Linux solution. Afterall, we are paying them. Infact we are ready to give them free solution if they give us algorithm.
Can I say that I have developed it JUST for myself and put on the web for educational purpose or something like that? There has to be something legal, right :-)(any hints?). How was Microsoft's SMB reverse engineered, that cant be legal then either?

If they cannot prove that you reverse engineered it, then they cannot do anything. Max they can do is stop giving you net access.
