hello lug members... I am computer science and engg. student and am in the third year. I am pretty comfortable with development and can work wonders with 'C'. I aspire to do some summer training in these holidays... and would love it if it was something to do with Linux because everyone says that development is easier in Linux. I f any of you out there need some trainees pls do keep me in mind. Gurpreet

Sometime on May 12, Gurpreet Singh assembled some asciibets to say:
I aspire to do some summer training in these holidays... and would love it if it was something to do with Linux because everyone says that development is easier in Linux. I f any of you out there need some trainees pls do keep me in mind.
Well, you've already created a bad impression. You included the entire digest mail in your post. A tremendous waste of everyone's bandwidth and time.
Anyway, if you're interested in developing under linux, there are thousands of applications around that need developers to contribute to them. Just search on sourceforge.net or savannah.gnu.org or freshmeat.net, and you'll find a project that wants you to work on it. Then, just contribute code.
Don't expect to be paid. As a student, you shouldn't expect that anyway, you should look for the experience instead, and this would do you well on your resume. It may even be better than being a trainee at some company.
