Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop 1405-S151 which has a CyberAlladin-T graphics accelerator card with 16 MB of VRAM.I am using PCQ Linux 7.1 which is based on RHL 7.1
However X does not seem to start up. I searched the net for the solution but was not successful. there is one site which mentioned that there is a driver which works with XFree86 4.0.2.
How do I find out which version of X is running on my machine.
And if its not XFree86 4.0.2 and assuming I download the required module how do I install it and I do I get X to work?
thanks in anticipation -Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,
When you do 'startx' from your terminal , and your X doesn't start it must be giving some error messages , can u just paste those error messages .
That will help in giving the solution.
And for the version of XFree86 you can type 'XFree86 -version' This will give you the version of your X.
Ciao
Tapesh
