I recently bought a HCL branded PC with 2.93 GHz, 512 MB DDR, 80GB SATA, DVD combo drive, intex speakers... I tried running a live version of Ubuntu on it, but it is not able to identify the cdrom drive. So the live version fails to load and so does the installation. The DVD combo drive is a TSST corp CDW/DVD TS-H492A. If anyone has the drivers for this or can provide any help at all whatsoever, please do!
Obliged, Kiran

Sounds like you system needs to be set to boot from the DVD drive. Check your BIOS configuration.
