I ran the German excerpt through google translate and I got this: ////////// START gCAD3D is free (freeware). gCAD3D may be used without restriction for private and commercial purposes used. gCAD3D may be reproduced and passed on. Additional programs gCAD3D (DLL's) are not subject to any restriction of gCAD3D.

The commercial additional packages in this version are not included. /////////// END
Is the last line what you want to point out? The English version has a similar line too. "The commercial add-ons are not included in this package."

I think KG is referring to the software being free as in "free beer", nothing to do with German or English, correct KG?

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM. THE ENTIRE RISK IS WITH YOU.
The commercial add-ons are not included in this package.
so one can fork the code for any purpose, including a gpld package with gpld addons.
I could not find any commercial addons on the site. The developers are probably writing customised addons.
If someone could test the package as others had done for brl cad.
