I could get intelfb working for 2.4.22... haven't tried it with 2.6

Actually the module for intelfb doesn't get installed with modules_install. Has to be copied separately. The additional parameters to the kernel bootline

video=intelfb:800x600-32@85,accel=1,hwcursor=1

where 32 is the bpp, 85 is freq.

*Please note that this is not documented as the driver is still in experimental stage.* I got the params from the source.

probably the same would go in 2.6 too.
