Hello, i think this program is a bit too much for 2 days. And its heavily tilted towards programming.
1) GNU/open source/FSF/BSDlicense introduction 2) Programming tools available 3) Show a complete sample program development 4) Explain how open source components an be used to build
I'd prefer to leave aside 4-6 hours for the following: 1) Introducing networks(leave them with an idea of a packet) 2) Introducing basic security concepts 3) Introducing storage networking
I think these areas are the growth areas in the near future, hence the students should know abt them. I believe the idea of the workshop should be to generate a spark in the students mind to explore further on their own.
I cannot promise my presence, but I might just drop in!

I haven't seen the dates of the workshop as yet. But if the dates dont clash with my schedules, I can take Python/Zope for Web Engineering. Or/and GNU Emacs as a programming environment.
