Sometime Today, R cobbled together some glyphs to say:
is an interesting story.
A guy in my office bought an IBM thinkpad that he planned to install Debian on. When he bought it, he asked for no OS to be installed, and got the laptop at a lower price.

That is good news but what about technical support for hardware problems?
Toshiba America specifically states there will be no refund for unused pre-installed Windows on their notebook PCs. OTOH, some models of HP business notebooks come with FreeDOS (I suppose reducing the overall unit cost).
