Whoa. I haven't heard of Airtel landlines in Mumbai! I am talking about the suburbs. Are you sure they are in Mumbai? I have read a lot of good things abour Airtel DSL on broadbandforum.in and I really hope that they serve our area pretty soon... Cable isps suck big time!!!

You wouldn't really root for them if you checked their plans. This from B'lore. For some unknown reason, all Indian ISPs like to suck equally.

Umm...yeah, but Airtel has better plans and a better reach than the regular cable ISPs. They have recently launched the home 600 plan (128Kbps Unlimited) and another one which gives 256Kbps Unlimited for 900 bucks. Even though, exatt net provides the same speed (256Kbps) at only 720 bucks in Mumbai, they have pathetic reach. If I wan't an "exatt net" connection in my are then I need to contact 7star which is their franchisee. Thats not a problem but what _is_, is that 7star doesnt give any unlimited plans above 128Kbps and has unreasonable port blocking. Not to mention downtimes, pathetic CC comes free of cost with all plans!
