Hi guys,
I posted a job offer from one of my clients, I put the [commercial] tag.
But I got a message from the list saying :
Is being held until the list moderator can review it for approval. The reason it is being held:
Message has implicit destination
Can someone tell me what this means ? I couldnt figure it out.
Regards Saswata

Did you Bcc the list? A common tactic used by spammers is to send mail to a large number of people without an explicit destination in mail headers.

Iikess!!! I see I had mixed the to and the bcc. The list went on bcc instead of the to and my other email id came on the to instead of bcc.
But, can we have a more explicit message ? I really didnot understand what the moderator message actually meant.

That's the default mailman message. I'm not sure where to look to change it actually, and don't have the time to grep ATM. If someone wants to send in a patch, that would be good.
Anurag, what version of mailman are we using?

Currently we're on Mailman 2.1.5-8 from debian stable. These default messages are changable through source only. I could do that, but we'd have to patch mailman everytime we upgrade it.

The correct thing to do would be to submit the patch to the mailman maintainers.
A better way may be to make these messages configurable via a config file on the server (could just be a python include file that defines some constants).
