i m usin UBUNTU 5.10 on my desktop and i have a Realtek AC'97 inbuilt soundcard, the problem is that i m gettin a slight disturbance from my right speaker i have tried with speakers from friends n its the same, from which i gather that the problem doesnt lie with the speakers, can any one tell me what the problem is and how to get around it.

Hi, Apart from the usual graphical utility "Volume Control" there is a master console utility aumix* (* means its a binary) use it to check the pcm sound and save before exit.
